Stability and Nearness

Jesus is the most emotionally available Man I have ever met. He is truly the stability of our times. When we push to be closer to Him, He always leans in to be there. He never pushes us away when we seek to be closer and to have more intimacy. He is not afraid of intimacy. He is not afraid of vulnerability. 
“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you”. -James 4:8a

News flash Christians- God is not worried about who becomes president. He knows the end from the beginning. This is what I am hearing: “Make sure My people have burning lamps filled with oil!” While almost all of you are spinning your wheels trying to side step what is happening, you’re completely missing what God is actually causing to happen!!! Do you think the Israelites would have glowed in the dark like they did when all the rest of the people around them were submerged in darkness if they were not listening closely as a deer pants for water? Stop allowing the current events to DISTRACT you!! It is a scheme! We are supposed to be innocent as doves & wise/shrewd as serpants. I see too many “Christians” arguing these days!! It is time to grow up! Don’t go down with the ship just bc you were too busy arguing about the volume of the sound.

I have followed You around the corner past the many faces and the walls of gold. I have followed You into the trains and allowed You to get me to throw some things overboard. I have followed You up into the attic and out the ceiling window where we saw the stars in the night sky. I have followed You up the staircase as each next step appeared. I have followed You up the mountain and crouched down with You at the top in hiking boots and with a walking stick. Now, I am following You in the ocean where Your chest becomes my breath.
